Aaj Tak, a Hindi news station, currently employs Indian journalist and media personality Sudhir Chaudhary. He currently anchors the prime-time programme Daily News & Analysis on Zee News and formerly served as editor-in-chief and CEO of Zee News, WION, Zee Business, and Zee 24 Taas.

Since the 1990s, Chaudhary has been a member of the television news workforce. He was in live television reporting and later 24-hour news television. He belonged to the first generation of television journalists. After the 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament, Chaudhary was reportedly part of the team that covered the Vajpayee-Musharraf Indo-Pak meeting in Islamabad. He left Zee News in 2003. He played a key role in the establishment of Sahara Samay, the Sahara group's Hindi-language news channel. He briefly worked for India TV as well. He returned to Zee News in 2012 and now hosts the news programme Daily News & Analysis DNA.

The businessman Naveen Jindal claimed that Chaudhary and his colleague Sameer Ahluwalia had attempted to extort his company for $100 crore in advertising in exchange for dropping stories linking the Jindal Group to the Coalgate scam. This led to the two journalists' arrests in November 2012 on charges of extortion. The two were placed in Tihar Jail for a 14-day judicial hold but were later freed on bail. Following these allegations, the Broadcast Editors' Association removed Chaudhary from his position as treasurer, claiming that he had acted in a way that was detrimental to the Association's goals and interests.

A settlement having been struck, the Jindal Group wrote to the investigative agencies in July 2018, asking them to drop their charges against the journalists and end the investigation. That same day, bribery claims were brought against Jindal and others involved in the case.

Chaudhary claimed that Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra had copied Truman Longman's speech highlighting the early warning signs of fascism in India; however, both Longman and Moitra later denied having done so. Sudhir Chaudhary apologised for selectively airing a portion of Mahua Moitra's statement on his weekday prime time show after Moitra launched a criminal defamation lawsuit against him. Zee Media also sued her for defamation when she called the news "chor" and "paid."
